TestFlight builds provide the same experience as a Play Store app — push notifications, faster load times, and biometric login — but are limited to 90-day availability windows and require you to have the TestFlight app installed first.

Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO (MIUI / HyperOS)

MIUI runs its own scanner on every APK before the standard Android installer opens. When you tap the downloaded file you first see a full-screen scanning page, occasionally with an ad — wait 2 to 3 seconds and tap Continue or Install anyway. MIUI also grants install permission per app, not globally: if you downloaded the APK inside WhatsApp, then WhatsApp itself needs the permission via Settings → Privacy protection → Special permissions → Install unknown apps → WhatsApp → Allow. If you used Chrome to download, grant it to Chrome instead. On HyperOS the path is Settings → Apps → Manage apps → select the downloading app → Install unknown apps.

Samsung (One UI)

Samsung has the cleanest flow of any brand. The first time you open the APK, a pop-up says installs from this source are blocked and offers a Settings shortcut inside the dialog — tap it, toggle Allow from this source, press back, and installation resumes automatically.
